Hi everyone! My name is Alexa Buist, and I love sharing my passion for health and wellness. I currently work as a Physical Therapist in the outpatient setting, and really enjoy helping my patients achieve their wellness goals.
I grew up in California and earned my BA in Exercise Science from Willamette University. I also earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of South Carolina in 2019, and am passionate about helping women through breast cancer rehabilitation. Additionally, I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Sport Nutrition Specialist with the National Council on Strength and Fitness.
I really got into fitness about 15 years ago when I started playing volleyball and working out in the gym. I played volleyball at Willamette, and continue playing beach volleyball wherever I can find courts! I also enjoy traveling, cooking, reading, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
There is so much information out there on health and wellness, it can quickly become overwhelming! My goal is to provide you with the information you need in order to create and sustain a healthy lifestyle, without all the supplements and fad diets that are so heavily promoted online. This website is my space to share workouts, recipes and meal prep ideas, and other wellness/lifestyle tips.
